Oh sweet Jesus

Featured Replies

The deed is done, I now have my false floor and sub in place!

Wiring however, is a completely different matter! Not even started it!

I have seen on Ross C's car his amp power cable goiung into the top of the battery? Is that custom cut? did you cut the top lid so it would fit through???

Also......Headunit not yet in either. So really bugger all lol

Took ages to get the right cut etc. for the boot! But its finally in now, picture will follow shortly!

Good fun, innit!? :D

Ross's route is the same as mine, and yeah, I had to hacksaw a good chunk out the battery cover/s so the 4AWG would sit in the gap, and the cover would still shut. 10mm bolt only on the +'ve terminal on the battery, and hopefully there's a ring terminal on one or both ends of your power cable. :D

Oh monkey flange!

Is it just run under the carpet with the rest of the wires? I was assuming just pull back the plastic trim and unhook the carpet then slide it under? Am i missing something???

:wrthless:

With the cable routing to the battery all I did was drill a 10mm hole in the back of the cover then cut up to the hole from the bottom of the cover to make like a 'u' shaped hole. The fuse is then mounted under the cover to keep it tidy and dry and the ring terminal on the end of the cable I connected to the end 10mm nut on the supply side of the bus bar, not the battery terminal.

The cable then runs back through the first bulkhead (nice plastic grommet there) and then through to the main bulkhead (also a nice grommet) If you feed the cable through with the glovebox out it takes a nice line so you can attatch it to the exsisting wiring loom to keep it tidy. I took my passenger seat out and the 'B' pillar trims and also the sill trim. Then cable tied the 4awg cable to the wiring loom that is tucked up under the sill. Then put all the carpet back.
