Octy mk 2 vRS Alloy Colours

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Was toying with the idea to have my alloys painted. My Octy is in black and thought that perhaps black alloys would suit.... Any ideas of good colour combinations? If anyone's got some pics of their Octy's with various colours, then it would help me a lot in deciding!!! cheers.

I have a MK2 Black magic VRS estate, if I were doing the wheel colour I would think black is the only logical choice, although bare in mind that when they chip, they will show badly, so you may have to think about getting them done again in the future. Have not done mine, so no pic's to post, sorry.

I'd either go for a nice bright silver with some fleck, often referred to as 'Hi-Power Silver' by the refurbers.

Either that or an anthracite. Not a particular fan of black wheels, especially in Gloss Black, and on black cars.

Also worth remembering that darkening the finish, with black or dark anthracite, will make the wheels appear smaller. Plus they do tend to look like they're dirty all the time :D
