I am trying to wire in my amp into my octavia estate, I'll run the cable from the boot and am stuck with how to get it into the engine bay, i cant seem to find an existing hole for it to pass through! any ideas? and also im thinking i need about 7m of cable does this sound about right?

ORRR can i run it off of the 12v socket in the boot (adapting it obviously) or is the amperage too high (300w amp with 30amp fuse)

If you run it down the drivers side of the car, you can connect it to a "buzz bar" just above the pedals in the drivers foot well. 2 torx screws allow a piece of trim to come off and reveals the bar. It will have a sticker beneath it denoting each terminal. Undo the nut just above the yellow label and take your 12v feed from there. This would work the same as taking it from the battery.Takes literally 2 minutes to do even if it's your first time. If you ever come to do it again you could do it blindfolded. Easy as that and you'll require less length of wire and no need to go routing cable through the engine bay.Hope that helps.

I had this problem, apparently there is grommet behind the glove box but I struggled to find it. I have ran the wire under the car instead. Some nice panel gaps there and ran it under/through them then up into the engine. Fairly straight forwards but keep in mind the exhaust gets hot & don't run it too tightly!
