Car Ordered and a Silly question

Featured Replies

Well after a lot of changing my mind over colours and options, the car is ordered.

Race blue hatch, although was anthracite on the order for a while

Xenons

Leather

Rear Parking sensors

Maxidot

Rain sensing wipers etc

MDI

Really looking forward to getting it.

Now for the silly question, I seem to remember reading that various storage compartments are air conditioned, but with duel zone climate control I was wondering what temperature air it was air conditioned with. Like I say doesn't really matter, just a question the wife asked and i couldn't think of a sensible answer

It will most likely be the coldest selected, altho some one with one of these may confirm this.

The compartments are fed air at the conditioned temperature, and are adjustable to how much air enters it. I have dual zone on my elegance 1.9tdi, i'm not sure about MkIII. I have never thought or checked from which setting (Drivers or passengers) however. I'm thinking that the glovebox will be at passenger level and the armrest box at Drivers temperature. I'll try it a little later and let you know.

Cant wait for the car to turn up now, although will miss my current steer

Also which temperature is used in the vents for the rear seats?

Why? its a Renault! :giggle:

Ok, the glove compartment and the Jumbo Box are both controlled by the drivers side temperature controller. Since there was a change of pitch when adjusting the flow through the Jumbo Box I think its fair to presume that the rear vents are also controlled from the drivers setting. Subsequently, I think its safe to presume that the only thing that the passengers temperature controller controls is the temperature through the passenger side forward facing and feet blower.
