fault code 18010

Featured Replies

My vrs is showing the fault code 18010. I have reset it and will check it again in a couple of days. Can anyone tell me what this means and if i should just ignore it or whether I need to sort it. Thanks.

Have a look here:

If it's intermittent, then it's nothing to worry about. You may want to check the fusebox on top of the battery for getting hot due to a high resistance in the main charging cable from the alternator.

Thanks for the reply. I did replace the battery about a month ago so may have something to do with that. Will check for the fault code tomorrow. Will also have a look at the fuse box to see if there is anyting loose or how hot it is getting.

You'll get this fault code every time you disconnect the battery for any reason. just clear it and it shouldn't come back
