I need a top spec graphics card for a work PC, only problem is it's not PCI-E, not even AGP, it's PCI only so the question is what was king of the hill when PCI for graphics became extinct?

Reason we need it is it's a fairly old PC we use for remote access to program telephone systems so it doesn't need to be anything flash CPU and RAM wise. Just bought a new 22 inch monitor for it which doesn't look particularly nice using the built in Dell graphics card. Optimal resolution for the new monitor is 1920 x 1080.

Any ideas??

This should help, if that is an 8400 on PCI, then that's well ahead of anything at the time.
