I love the 3 vRS estates that have sprung up on here over the last few years.. I love the Combi Fabia in general and think it's actually the best looking mk1 Fab.

I also love my vRS, It's style and power create a really enjoyable package..

Here's the thing, right.... And this is completely theoretical as I already know it's financially stupid.. but

If (like me) you already had the vRS (earlier, pre facelift) and you took ya time waiting for the perfect used car to finally buy an early 00/01 PD100 combi in the same colour, with a black interior (I guess it'd have to be an elegance) and did the conversion with front bumper interior and everything that'll switch but also put the pd100 back in the vRS shell along with everything else that'll straight swap, what would the ex vRS PD100 non vRS hatch make used.. or would it even be un sellable due to it being a bit of a mess..

I think that the only exterior parts left over in both directions would be the spoiler and rear bumper?.. and interior would be the roof lining? I know the hatch door cards will go into a combi but not sure it'll go the other way. These are all minor details anyways... my main question is what do people speculate the bodged hatch would be worth after it all?

Please don't just reply this is a stupid idea.. I'm just day dreaming and have no intention of doing it as I'd have to pay a man to do it which makes it financially stupid for me anyway.. just thought it'd make an interesting conversation because the clever way to do it is with a damaged doner vRS.

I doubt it'd be worth much. Unless it was someone who you knew/knew what you were doing etc, but even then I think it'd still be better to just use a smashed up vrs

I've been away a few hours and realized it's a stupid idea even in theory as it'd still be cheaper to sell the good vRS, buy a scrapper and a old combi with the cash generated.. Why break a perfectly good car..

It's official.. I'm stupid.. Just let my imagination run away sometimes... I WANT A vRS COMBI! lol..
