Hope someone can help, I have just purchased an 06 VRS 2.0TFSi and it had a nokia car kit with cradle,. I've taken this out and need to know how to remove the side carpet trim on the transmission tunnel, it's fairly loose but seems to have a clip in the centre of it but I cannot figure out how this part comes undone etc.

If you mean the trim down the side of the centre console you have one T20 torx screw which is quite obvious in the footwell but the other is behind the front ashtray. Pop the gearlever surround up and undo the two torx screws that hold the ashtray in, pop that out and you will see the screw at the back.

Cheers, it is the trim Mike is talking about - I'll give it a good tug (oohh errr mrs!!!) and hopefully that will work - just didn't want to break it.
