Cambelt service interval - 4x4

Featured Replies

Can anyone shed some light on the service interval for the cambelt on a 52 plate 4x4 estate, ie 1800 turbo 150bhp ? I'm getting some conflicting info - either 60,000 miles or 80,000 miles / 4 years.

Thanks,

M.

60K or 4 years whichever comes first.

err on the side of caution, get it done, has it been done already? as if not even if its not done that mileage you are well over on age.

Was changed 2 years & 60,000 miles ago. Service manual that came with it says 60,000 but when I went into my local VW specialist he said 80,000. Hence the question. Obviously don't want to change it if it's still good for 20,000 more.

Back in 2008 I got the response (from Skoda Customer Services) of 4 years or 60k (for a vrs - 1.8T)
