Induction kit

Featured Replies

Just put an induction kit on my oct vrs

The part was meant for a Audi s3 originally

Having installed it I now have a spare hose???? This links around the front of the engine and does seen to suck in air when on choke! I have made a filter for it as it used to suck in filtered air from the air box?

What is this hose what is the long term solution for it?

Even the skoda kits I looked at didn't house this pipe

Any ideas anyone

intake for secondary air system

2 options

1. remove the complete secondary air system as its not really needed ( emissions crap)

2. put a small filter on it and forget about it

picks plz.

What he said

but as you have a filter on it now you are sorted.

The secondary air system is only running for a short period in the engine startup / warm up cycle to protect the cat. Once that cycle is complete it is not in use.

Most CAI kits come with either a small hole in the CAI pipe to allow the free secondary air pip from the old airbox to sit in it, or a small filter to stick on the end of the secondary air pipe as you have done.
