Recently ive had a few people follow me in my car to tell me that none of my brake lights are working,

i keep on checking them and hey do work its just that you have to press the pedal down quite far.

As you know the standard vrs brakes are quite sharp so dont require alot of pressure, but this means that my lights dont come on.

Is there any way that it can be adjusted further up the pedal? It does look difficult.

May be the switch under the pedal. Cheap enough and easy to change.
