New boots

Featured Replies

Hi guys my original michelins are running low on my diesel vrs any suggestions on new tyre replacements? I have heard the conti sport contact 3 are good.

Personally I prefer michellins as they last longer IME. With the exception of the puncture I had the otherday on the works car, I can easily get 30k from them.

Contisport contact3's won the 2010 EVO magazine tyre test.

I don't know if Skoda do the same, but most manufacturers do their set-up work with a particular tyre in mind, so it has been known for a change of manufacturer etc to upset the balance.

In all honesty it probably wouldn't be noticeable, but i remember a mate of mine who took his cars to many a track day say that the balance was always best with the original rubber.

IME Michelin last longer, conti's are better in the wet.

With the test conducted at Continental's tyre test facility....

Hmmm ;)
