Ah right! Good one :)

More likely to be named after the place, as in Montego Bay Jamaica :D

BMW have a habit of naming colours after places sometimes - Boston Green as another example

Top work,

Did he get the issue with the wheels sorted?

Another great detail Baker - hats off to ya, great job!

You could well be right Steve, not thought about it like that............

I know I'm right :p

The wheel issue is just getting ridiculous. I've lost count of the number of E9x 3-Series owners I've heard about on 18-19" standard wheels on the BMW sports suspension option that have had this exact problem, in exactly the same position. Yet BMW UK flatly deny there's a manufacturing issue to blame here, and that it must be the state of our roads. Now they have a point, they're not ideal, but I don't see any other manufacturer with a problem on this scale. Plus the way they handle it stinks - they'll usually say they'll consider a warranty claim, but it'll need to be sent away for 'testing'. So the poor punter ends up having to buy wheels anyway, otherwise the car's unusable. What sort of response is that?! :dull:

Sorry, rant over - but it really winds me up when manufacturers behave like this.

Anyway, yeah - nice detail ;)

Cheers,

Steve

Out of curiosity how much does it cost to get that done to a car? Would love to have it done one day! :)

I really want a BMW E90 335D now.

UPDATE ON WHEELS:

Basically the car went back to BMW for two weeks (they gave him a new 635d to run about in whilst it was away) and it came back last week. It has one new alloy wheel with one new tyre (the tyres were only a few 100miles old anyway). BMW had the suspension checked over by some motorsport alignment specialist in Cambridge who ok'd the car. They've also agreed to cover the cost of a refurb of the rough rear wheel, though Seb is going to have them all done by BMW and come to some arrangement........:o

Nice colour, nice work and good result with BMW on the alloys.

Many thanks..........

Not a bad result for him then - better than an awful lot of other people. I just wonder what that arrangement is gonna be!
