Hi folks,

12-14 WEEKS GIVE OR TAKE A FEW WEEKS

I dare bet the give or take a few weeks is QUITE A FEW weeks!!!!!!

Great spec. We did the same my wife had a Passat which she found too long so she swapped to my Fabia.

It is a brilliant 'little' car, every time I get back into the Passat from driving ours I can't help but wonder why the extra space in the Passat cost us 10k more.

The spec on your car is not far of what I ordered. My order went in in June, I was quoted 10-12 week delivery and told to call in August for confirmation of delivery date, when I called I was advised the car was to be built week 41 (11th October). then the car had to be taken by train the the docks, by ship to UK before getting to the dealer and ultimately to me some time in November!!!

I was not happy so went for a SEAT and cancelled the order for the Fabia.

Skoda have dropped a big bollick, why offer VAT free savings when you cannot supply a car!!!! From order to build 16 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! why discount the car if you cannot supply within a reasonable time scale? all they are doing is pi55ing off customers.

Hi yes I can understand your pi@@ed off, however all the best things comes to them who wait!,seriously though I ditched my Seat Altea sport 1.9tdi after 12 months, good around corners but terrible on long journeys my arse was square at the end of a trip, fuel economy terrible nowhere near the stats, build quality a sham after sales service terrible all in all not a good purchase,I would have waited mate because you know yourself its the SKODA FABIA you wanted, don't worry you will be back with the Best car manufacturer (skoda of course) in no time at all!,when I was contimplating changing the superb I did try several other manufacturers several high spec one's at that e.g,BMW,AUDI and TOYOTA tried the 1 series BMW what a load of crap totally over priced,Audi A3 like driving on a heap of breeze blocks build quality better than the beamer though,as for the Toyota I remembered going there years ago with the Seat and the salesman said "not as well built as the Toyota is it and not good at keeping there prices" how the world has changed in the last couple of years eh,I would be to scared to get in a Toyota heared the brakes arn't to clever!!! B)

Never had a problem with my Yarisisisis.... brakes, the car went on forever! :giggle:

I still like to drive it now althogh it seems small compared to the Fabia but it is an auto so more relaxed and easier to drive overall.

I had a 1.2L Corsa, on a ten plate with around sK miles on, as a loaner whilst my Fab bad a new rear bumper skin put on due to a stew-pid rissole pulling away from behind one of my students, BEFORE she pulled away! I would rather drive my Fabia or my 8 year old Yaris than drive that horrid set of wheels again!

The seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in, with the sides feeling like they are going to puncture your kidneys at any given corner! The mirrors are tummy rubbish, too and the fuel economy.... HAAAAAA!

The nicest thing was giving it back!
