  1. I’d like to ask a question about varioflex seats. what is the measurement between the B post and the edge of the seat when it is in the rearmost position? i currently have a Leon, but am looking for something easier for my 84 year old Mother in Law to get in. On the Leon there is 280mm, she struggles to get her legs into the car, I’m hoping there is more space in the Karoq.
  2. John, they look the part, unfortunately they do not prevent the crap up the sides of the car!!
  3. SC03OTT, interested in how you coded your fogs to come on with main beam? Is it an OBD11 app? I bought my OBD11 a couple of years ago. I sold my Scout last year & now run a Leon FR, I could really fancy having the fogs to come on with main beam, it would help at night on country roads. Currently I switch the fogs on manually, which does mean they stay on with dipped beam.
  4. True247Spartan have a look at this http://roadcampro.mercaddes.co.uk/
  5. Andy as far as SKODA are concerned they do not fit, however if you relocate the fixing holes they fit OK see my posts and fotos above.
  6. This mod. Scandinavian DRLs is dead easy to do with OBDeleven. My last 2 cars had auto lights, my current SEAT Leon FR does not. I'd got used to the auto lights and noticed I was forgetting to manually switch on the lights, so set it to Scandinavian DRLs, now the DRLs and the tail lights are on permanently, so I never drive without lights, obviously I can see when I need the headlights so switch those on manually The problem I have now is forgetting to switch off dipped beam in the mornings!
  7. I fitted genuine Skoda mudflaps to my 03 Scout, they do "fit" but they need to be fitted further out than on a non scout car so extra holes are needed in the flaps. However the car STILL get crud up the sides of the bumper and the tailgate also gets covered in crud, so the mud flaps are not very effective!
  8. I had the caps on my 2010 Ibiza changed under warranty after twelve months or so, similarly I had the caps on my 2011 Leon changed. It is a little surprising as both cars had winter wheels on over the winter so did not endure salt from the roads. I'm expecting to have to hassle the dealer for my current Leon as I'm sure the problem has not yet been rectified yet.
  9. Drove out yesterday in my new Leon, what a change NOT to have the DAB signal dropping! Places where the Scout could not receive DAB were not a problem in the Leon.
  10. Be aware DAB radio reception is poor on the estate version!
  11. Here is another thing, the radio sounds much better in the Leon, as the infotainment heads are the same it must be the speakers or the acoustics which make the music sound better.
  12. Don't bother with the VAG Sat Nav, just go for a Tom Tom, they are much much better!
  13. Well my MY15 Octavia Scout 184 DSG has gone, I never really gelled with the car, too many minor irritations stopped me from getting attached to the car, see my post "DAB dropouts and other Octy problems" The car has been replaced by a 2015MY SEAT Leon FR184 DSG, this will be:- My fifth VAG car since 2008 My third SEAT My third car with DSG, I can highly recommend these gearboxes, in my mind the BEST auto box. I will probably still have a look at the Octavia 3 forum just to see what is happening, So goodbye from me for the time being
  14. Well I have finally solved the DAB drop outs on my Scout, similarly I have cured the wind whistle from the driver's door, the water inside the doors after rain, the candle powered headlights, the missing front parking sensors and the power fold mirrors! How? I have changed my Scout for a Leon FR 184 DSG and got back all the good things my Mk2 Leon had. I'll keep watching this forum but will probably spend a lot of my time on seatcupra.net forum
