Non Skoda Head Unit issues

Featured Replies

I'm currently trying to install a Pioneer 3200-BT head unit to replace the utterly diabolical sound from the Stream MP3 head unit. I've tried it, and it sounds excellent, but not switched over yet as I still have a few issues.

I've read how to source an ignition switched supply from the fusebox, and I think I can can wire up the 'Park' input from the handbrake and reverse signal input for switching a rear view camera. :)

Where is the best place to pick up the Illumination input as this is not in the Stream MP3 inputs?

What power should feed the aerial amplifier? I thought I had the right lead for the Fakra aerial to DIN conversion with amplified aerial, but the radio just emits noise when fed from the HU???

Any help appreciated! :S

you should be able to get a illum feed from the sidelight switch, at your right knee. not sure about your aerial querie though..

Not quite what it's there for and possibly illegal as it allows you to watch video in the front whilst moving ;)
