Missing pipe?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I need a bit of advice.

Just picked up my 2.0 TSI FL Vrs estate (MY 09). Looking at the engine this evening it seems that there may be a pipe missing.

On the R/H end of the black manifold at the front of the engine there is a 'stub' sticking out. Should there be a pipe or something attached to this? Or am I worrying about nothing.

I do have a photo, but I am unsure how to attach it.

Any help is appreciated! :)

My 1.8 has that.

You're not missing a pipe as I believe that is a breather hole.

This is my 1.8TSI.............with that stub looking lonely!

Yeah it's normal, it's blanked off internally.

Thanks guys,

That is definitely the stub I was talking about. Phew, panic officially over then.

By the way, that's one clean engine bay! :D

That picture was taken 12 months ago at 10 days old with 250 miles on the clock!
