I'm about to put an order in for a Octivia vRS Estate DSG with front/rear sensors and auto dim mirror and rain sensors.

The questions I have are:

What is the ride like. There is no way to test drive a vRS spec in my area. Is the suspension set up simalar to a L&K or Elegance. Is it overly firm?

What other gems of knowledge do I need prior to putting pen to paper? All your experience would be of great assistance to me...

i ordered my octavia vrs dsg petrol hatch just 2 weeks ago

they let me out for a couple of hours in their demo and i decided based on that

the ride is sports car firm but not teeth rattling.

the gearbox is amazingly smooth and progress is rapid

it also pootles around very smoothly

can i suggest you speak to john at hortons in lincoln before you put pen to paper

he promised to beat any reasonable quote and did.

It is firm but polite. Amazingly smooth gearbox which takes only a little getting used to.

I think your questions have been answered. Mine's smooth without teeth chattering on standard spec and some of it of course depends on your local road surfaces. If they're rubbish you'll know about it. If you want to try a firm car, try a Seat Leon FR with DSG as a comparison.

Brilliant car! ride quality is firm but not harsh. What more can i say apart from you could also give Rainworth Motors in mansfield a ring to get a quote as i now they try and beat other quotes (Dealer of the year for the last two years so we must be doing something right) Phil.
