Featured Replies

I know that the S3 strut brace fits but what about the TT one?

Will the brackets that look to attach to the bulkhead be usable on an Octavia?

It might fit..

But by the look of mine:

those brackets might actually get in the way. Only way to be sure is test fit I guess.

Here is one in a TT to compare;

Still can't tell though.

Doesn't look like they would get in the way? Can always take an angle grinder to them if needs must.

I would say it will fit as it is for the same engine bay set up.

Not sure why it has extra brackets but they may also fit and add extra strength. If not just angle grind them off as mentioned

Would like to try to use the extra brackets if possible rather than grind them off. Does anyone know if the TT bulkhead is the same as an Octavia? Guess the only way to be sure is to give it a go.

i doubt it Simon, its a tt afterall, the profile although will be similar, though its not likely to match.

has anyone got any updates on this seen loads on ebay.

Bought a TT strut brace of EBAY to give it a go and they are a perfect fit however the two brackets are too far away from the bulkhead to be of any use so it's either grind them off or leave them on as they dont interfere with anything, just look abit strange sticking out the back of the brace. Even managed to find some hammerite smooth green paint to spray it up!!!!

Thanks Bowders, on the mk2 front I couldn't say, I have the mk1 tt strut. Maybe worth a Google search for the part numbers and see if they are the same?
