cd player code

Featured Replies

hi, had some trouble with my starter motor last week and had to disconect the battery to fix it, only problem is that now my cd player is asking for a code that i dont have. ive been to my local skoda and its 25 quid plus VAT to sort it just thort i would try my luck here befor i splash the cash...

I thought these were coded to the car so you didn't need to reinput the code after a battery disconnect. You should have a radio code card in with your documents wallet - take a look there and you should find the code. Failing that it's time to either pay the dealer or enjoy the silence :giggle:

Go out to the car, Turn the stereo off (Push K-nob)!

Turn on ignition, then turn on stereo(Push K-nob)!

All sweetness and light?

Failing that there should be a code in your drivers pack, Either on a card or scrawled on the Symphony manual!

They're having a laugh mate.

No wonder they're known as stealers

I had this with the other halves car, the dealer we bought it from eventually gave us the code

for free over the phone. By then, ( 20 odd mins) the stereo had shaken hands with the ecu by itself and

a code didn't need entering after all.

The dealer should just need the number on the top of the unit on a barcoded sticker.

That's all they asked me for anyway. But money most definitely didn't change hands

hi guys i know this is an old thread, ive just had to replace my symphony unit with a another from a breakers yard, can i use my origionla code and enter that? or will the radio talk to the ecu its self and unlock?

cheers
