Looking to change, The Yeti is a possible

Featured Replies

I'm new to here join yesterday and as with a lot of forum discussion sites there is a huge amount of infomation available.

I currently own a VW Scirocco TSI 160, which is a great car but after nearly two years of ownership I do miss not have four doors and something my elderly parents can get in and out off.

I have driven a BMW X1 (hideous) and the new Mini Countryman Cooper S ( not bad but feels cheap and is expensive). I want something with similar performance so I have started thinking about a Yeti Elegance 1.8 TSI which seems to fit the bill. I have been unable to see one in the flesh or even drive one as my local dealer (multi francise with 8 other makes) here in Jersey does not have any Yeti's and is not expecting delivery until late November. So I have to rely on the internet for for pictures and info.

Your site has already answered a lot of my questions, folding mirrors are available, Gobi interior does not have wood effect dash (thankfully), also been able to see most of the colour options in the owners picture section.

So my next move is to try and take one for a test drive in the mainland (UK). I'm in South Wales for a week from the 16th of this month so will visit a dealer to have a closer look at one and see if they will let me take one for a test drive, even though I won't be buying from them. If I like it I can then place an order with my local dealer and as there is no VAT in Jersey will be 17.5 - 20 % cheaper than in the UK.

Can anyone recommend a dealer in the Cardiff/ Bridgend area that may have a Yeti demonstrator that I could borrow for an hour?

Hi and welcome aboard.
