Octavia vRS 240bhp target

Featured Replies

HI Guys,

Ive had my Oct vRS mk 1 for 3 years and think its time I start to increase the bhp.

I know from a standard remap (revo) i'm likely to get to 210bhp. (30 to go....)

What would a new exhaust system and larger intercooler make many gains? What other mods will help?

Can i get to 240bhp within a grand (or so) and is it realistic without changing the turbo?

Cheers in advance

nope not a realistic target buddy

its not all about bhp

for example a member on here oet he has uprated the chassis on his to a very very high standard and i would lay money on that his car is one of the fastest on here for sure not becasue he has big turbo's just he has used his knowleged and understands that a fast car doesnt have to have 100's of bhp's

my car was running 230bhp and i had

high flow inlt mannifold

high flow exhaust mannifold

3inch straight though exhaust

forge front mount

abd 3inch cai

forge oo7 p

abd oversized tip pipe

to name but a few and they cost 1000's and still only got me 230 to 235 bhp buddy

good luck buddy and advise needed send me a pm and i will try to help where ican

Thanks for the advice.

Im thinking that bhp is not everything, especially with a decent increase in torque.

Plus an all rounded car with imporoved handling will be a much more enjoyable drive!

On another note - My first gear really whines and this has been like it since ive had the car (3yrs later) - does anyone know what this means?
