Cambelt changes

Featured Replies

SWMBO was on the phone to my local dealer today getting her Fabia VRS booked in for a service and cambelt change. During the conversation she mentioned that at least the Yeti didn't need the cambelt changed every four years and what a plus point that is. The dealer inferred that the talk in Skoda circles is to bring the Yeti in line with other models and reduce the cambelt changes to 4 years or XX miles whichever is sooner. In fairness he did not suggest this was a 'done deal' but a concern nevertheless if it is being discussed. I thought the cambelt itself had been re-developed to prevent the need for this four year money-bleeding exercise?

Hopefully just idle talk as it was certainly a contributory factor for me when considering the Yeti.

It wouldn't suprise me, don't see why it would be any different.
