There is on VWVortex.

:)

Why do you want to remove it?

Some discussion here:

Don't let any of the naysayers scare you. It's a piece of cake dude. I've never once had any smells of vapor like everyone says you get.

don't do it! I did it to mine and I am putting it back in ASAP!!! Everytime I go to fill up my gas cap wants to shoot out of the side of my car. Gas vapors just pour out. This was one of the stupidest things I have done to my car.

Talking to myself here :)

Just did some preliminary investigation and it will just fit in the arch above the liner near the indicator.

Just need to work out how to get the wires and pipes to it.

The fuel lines go through the chassis rail from about halfway down the car and come up into a triple holder thingy next to the radiator expansion tank ball. I haven't worked out yet how to get the top off that for a look inside!

Not sure yet where the wiring goes either. Need to consult ETKA for diagrams and work from there.

Anyone bothered to do this? :)

Thinking about it - why isn't this near the fuel tank somewhere? Lack of space?

I'd say it's under the bonnet because of the fact it needs to connect to an engine vacuum line. If it was at the tank, you'd have to run the vac line all the way back to the tank from the TB and TIP.

Doh! Course it is. What was I thinking? :)
