Scout uprated rear springs

Featured Replies

I'm planning to buy a pre-FL scout in the next month or so. One of my colleagues has a mk2 4x4 and with the amount of kit that we have to carry in the back it rides very low on the rear axles.

Is there a way of uprating the scout springs? I've had the rubber sping assistors on my current car and they don't seem to do very much, I think that heavier springs would be more effective

What choices are there out there?

thanks for any help

That looks like a good system - presume you use the springs rather than the air assist?

On the website it only lists '09 and '10 octavias - from what I've read the chassis and springs didn't change with the facelift - will these work with a '57 plate?

thanks again

Well it was a 55k miles, 07 plate PD scout with mfsw/maxidot and xenons for £12k.

Troube is that someone else thought it was a good deal as well and beat me to it :(

Never mind - there'll be another one...

On the detailed list of my Scout (2008) it was stated that reinforced suspension was included. My car was a demo car, I assume the suspension was not ordered seperately.

would that be the standard scout suspension? i.e. reinforced compared to standard suspension?

Saw this one the other day, very high spec and well priced too...

...but just realised its also now sold. Popular second hand buys these Scouts!

The Scout gets the off-road package as standard wich includes a sump guard and various covers/guards to protect the underbody.

Other than the raised ride height I don't think there is any difference?
