bury cc9060 fitting brodit or not? halfords?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking about getting a bury cc9060. The standard mount... is that screwed into the dash?

Would anyone recommend using a brodit mount instead? anyone got a experience/pictures of this?

Are halfords good enough to do the fitting?

The Bury mount is a double sided sticky pad ,either flat mounted or on a little mount,i bought a no holes mount on Ebay for about a fiver and am using that.

See attached images.....hope I've done this correctly ! They are taken from my driving position so this is what you'll see.

Got a Brodit holder for HTC Desire....bracket screwed on with Radio screw and Bury 9060 over right vent, which just clips on. Easily fitted and good quality.

Got a local fitter to install mine....only used 4 cables and no huge ISO connector needed. Bluetooth all works fine & through radio. Even dials from speech.

Good luck......

The standard holder is fine and I have mine mounted to the right of the driver, just above the air vent close to the pillar. This keeps it out of eyeshot from outside the car and is easy to read/use for the driver without cluttering the centre of the car which already has lots of buttons etc. Halfords fitted mine and did a fine job ( cheap too as only cost £10). I watched them do it and not too hard but a little fiddly due to lack of space behind the Bolero stereo. You also need an extra cable to connect it all together.

I can't offer much help with the clips, connectors etc.

What I can say is that my car has a Bury9060 and I'm pretty impressed with it.

I bought the car used and so didn't spec it and my previous car had a Parrot mki9200 which is also excellent. The thing I really like about the Bury unit is that (as of the most recent firmware) you can start it without touching it and navigate all the menus via voice.

Call quality is good (though probably not as good as the Parrot).

The Parrot does a good job of iPod/iPhone/USB music integration, whereas I can't get music to work from my iPhone to the Bury.
