Can anyone advise a good set of tyres to replace the Falkens on my Fabia with?

Im fed up of the noisy (tyre noise loud enough to hear even with the stereo up to 12!) Falken FK542s fitted on my alloys. They seem to have so little grip as wel l- If i try and pull away with anything other than minimal throttle they loose grip and I end up pulling away like a hoodlum and the grip in the wet - lets just say its abismal!

I would like something that gives my car some grip without being noisy!

Needs to be 204/45 R17s. Not sure as only ever had T1Rs in 195/45/15 on my previous long termer and all my other cars have been short duration or shared.

Should that be 205/45 17, although I thought for a Fabia they should be 205/40 17 or 205/45 16 ?

yes it should be 205, should check typing before i post!
