Worth the 10 weeks wait!

Featured Replies

I picked up my car today in great sunny weather thank goodness. Paired my iPhone 3gs first time and it downloaded my contacts without a problem.

After setting the memory seats and mirrors I did some town driving from the dealer, then onto M62. Just cruised with effortless ease. I got a few Mercs and Beamers slowing down for a good look.

The car is a joy to drive and does not feel as big as I thought it would. Great build quality and a lovely manual gearbox.

I will add more info and pictures after I have done a few more miles. Phil emoticon-0148-yes.gif

10 weeks! Pah, a mere blink of the eye. 18 weeks and counting here. :envy:

I think some of the BMW and Merc drivers at work are in for a bit of an eye-opener once mine arrives. :)

Best regards

Snap ! :)

Ordered mine 26th August, original delivery date was 17th November, but now gone out to 17th December, so not holding my breath to see it much before the New Year.

Mine was ordered by the fleet company on the 13th August and they can't(won't) give me a predicted delivery date. Hopefully mine is similiar to yours and i'll get mine start of Dec......

I think I am going to have to stop visiting this forum until my car arrives ;)

Now week 21 from point of order and the car has been stuck in a holding point in Germany for the past 14 days since its bw40 and Skoda have confirmed to me and the dealer that they would like it registered before the end of October :o

Dealer said realistic handover is second week of November (23 weks since order) but they will try and make it sooner.

That said Phil, reaing your post, it should all be worth it in the end, perhaps I should take a trip up the M1 and drool over your car :giggle:

I can't see you wanting my CR140 anyway. :giggle: Besides mine has to sit around once delivered while the dealer, my company and the DVLA get their collective acts together to sort out the dreaded cherished plates. Assuming they have both been built this week, I've no doubt you'll get your hands on yours before me. :envy:

Best regards
