no one?

My Yeti had the same symptoms last winter when driving on uneven roads with snow and ice.. I got the instrument ( complete part ) replaced. Will have to see this winter if that was a permanent cure.. The squeeks from the instrument chrome rings accompanies a full orchestra of other unvanted sounds (rattles, squeeks, ) from doors, roof, rear hatch, A-pillars etc. so I will not be very surprised if the squeeks from the instrument returns....

Mine are also creaking, they have been to the dealer, seem to be a little better, but I notice they are the same way as the VW counter part, so I am not sure if anything could be done about it.

I understood, i noticed that touching the chrome rings the creaking stoped. One of this days I'll try to unmount and put some silicon under it.

Hi,

My 170 Elegance had the same squeaks from both rev counter and speedo surrounds, in fact first trip back to dealer. Seems a shame for something so minor. As said above a little squirt of dry silicon lubricant should work. Also get noises from the door seals on rough roads, so a squirt there as well. All the local roads are on the point of collapse so grateful for a great ride.

Chris.
