Revo Tuning

Featured Replies

I just though it's time for Briskoda Forum to have a thread concerning Revo Technik tuning on Skoda's.

I know there are a couple of other good tuners around (MTM, Jabba) but only Revo has a "stealth" solution with serial programming via diagnostic port called ODB2 and magnificent tools like the SPS1, SPS3 and even a anti-theft solution with SPS2 tool.

Now what's interesting here is what more changes you may have done to gain even more power or simple if you've noticed that something went wrong with the car (engine, clutch etc) after tuning it with Revo.

Now since Revo does only performance programs for Octavia RS, 4x4 and 2 wheeldrive 150bhp Octavia's the subject will unfortunatly stay to those models (it'd be fun to have Superbs & Fabia's too).

Pre-Revo = :)

Revo = :mw:

FD

Ah, but in the UK there is a lawsuit filed against Revo by APR, so talking about Revo is a big no-no I'm affraid :(

Still a wonderfull upgrade though...

Have you heard anything about this lawsuite Q?

How is it proceeding? Did Revo really steal sorcecode from APR?

Cheers,

FD

i dont see why we cant discuss it...nothing we say here can affect the outcome?

I havce asked 6 different tuners about this - those that sell revo / those that dont and those that do their own - every single one has told me a different story...

from this i take the bottom line to be as meaningful as

intel v via (for all you i.t. people)

buy which ever you want - it cant be taken off you and its only a chip upgrade

Illegal software can be taken off you, just as a stolen car can be. Read the terms of the licences for the software you have installed on your PC and you should see that you don't own any of it - you are merely licensed to use it in accordance with the conditions of that licence. Pending the outcome of the lawsuit involving RevoTechnik, Briskoda.net will not entertain posts about the merits or otherwise of the case for obvious reasons.
