Dension Gateway 100 with a MFD2?

Featured Replies

My 2007 Octavia vRS has a MFD2 sat nav unit fitted and a multidot display. Is this combination compatible with a Dension Gateway 100 unit and will this allow me to browse my iPod/iPhone music library via the multidot display? I do not have a multi function steering wheel.

All the dension does is replace and emulate the CD changer, allowing you to select from 6 playlists on the ipod. You dont get any track info displayed as far as I am aware, because the MFD2 does not support CD-TEXT.

shows that although the unit does not give you full/proper control on any Skoda, just basic track/playlist control.

Thanks for the reply, I don't think I'll bother buying a Gateway 100 if it does not interface with the multidot dash display. I may end up removing the MFD2 and replacing it with a Alpine iDA-X001 I have at home.
