Teves MK60 Question

Featured Replies

Its not a 'mines gone, whats happened?' post, Im just wondering if any of the techies on here who have sold/fixed these units can tell me if the MK60 is just a quick swap job or does the unit have to be programmed in to the car?

The dealer who changed mine said that the car had to be re-coded afterwards (in fact they struggled a bit with that).

Thanks for that, OK, so my next question would be what about the same unit that was in the car but reconditioned and then put back. Would it need programming again?

don't know but glad you asked, I guess it depends what reconditioning means -- the pressure switch has it's own electronics so if it's changed I guess it needs calibrating, but I'm starting to wonder if it's just crappy contacts inside that just need a clean, in which case £300 looks like a good business to be in

Well the cars booked in for the whole of next week at my local garage with a recon in mind. Hoping I finally get it sorted

150 labour plus 350 for recon unit all via warranty direct if all goes well.

Only been 6 months waiting for this :wonder:
