Paint colour suggestions

Featured Replies

Now I've sorted out my performance mods time to put my attention onto the body work.

I'm going to get the wide mouth conversion done and the existing black magic paint is tatty in places so I want to get the car resprayed, however I'm unsure what colour I actually want. I remember the mark lV golf was available as a very dark green, almost black. Am I remembering correctly? Anybody know the paint name or an even darker green? I want a colour that looks black in low light but green in direct sunlight if that makes sense.

You are correct, its Oak Green that was for the Mark 2, dunno why I thought it was the Mark 4:

Paint code is L94E.

What do people think of the colour? I'd be co-ordinating it with white and black, so White Team Dynamic multi spokes, black calipers, black grill/door handles and may be a pearl white roof and mirrors? Or keep it all Oak Green?

 for oak green.

Dragon Green FTW.

I'd love to have my Furby the same colour as my old Mark3 Golf GTI.

Lots of metallic shininess by day and almost black when it was dark.

If I was going for a respray then it's what I'd have without a doubt.

The vRS would look the bizzo in that colour.

why not go new skoda vrs green?

should be plenty of mark IIs in that colour as it really suits the car, but because I want something a bit different I want a colour that the fabia was never available in. I'd put money on somebody else having the same idea about oak green but it'll be one or two not loadlike with a standard colour.

Dragon green is nice but not dark enough for what I am aiming for.
