Not my car but...........

Whilst driving my brother-in-laws vRS Fabia I heard a slight pop sound then it lost 80% of its power.....

When it's ticking over there is no smoke out the back and everything sounds ok, I can hear a sucking sound at times though.

When uder load it's kicking out loads of black smoke.

Can someone clarify whether I have blown a turbo or intercooler hose off...I'm guessing (and hoping!!!) this is what's happened.

Any tips, advice welcome as always!!

Hard to tell, but if you hear a pop, as you say it could be the IC hose popping off..Pray it is that anyway. how many miles has it done? Does it get regular servicing?

Serviced every 10k or 12 months.....

Turbo sounds healthy and theirs no white/blue smoke, no smells or anything else to suggest it's the turbo......

I genuinely wasn't....... It has hardly moved over the last two months......15 miles tops..

Intercooler outlet pipe blew off!!!!
