Front tyre wear o2 ocatvia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Octavia VRS on an 02 plate. I have noticed that both front tyres are wearing heavier on the outside edges. Is this normal for this car? The rears appear to be wearing evenly. I regulaly check my pressures so i know its not that.

Thanks all

Andy

Most likely a problem with the tracking. Classic symptoms are wear on the edges.

Get a wheel alignment done on your car. Make sure the car has sensors put on all wheels so all wheels are pointing the same way, will male the car drive better and increase the lode of your tyres. Had mine done yesterday, worth every penny of the £30 it cost.

As already stated above the most likely cause is the tracking being out of alignment, but uneven tyre wear can also be caused by worn track rod ends, ARB bushes etc.
