Removing CL rocker switch and gear knob?

HI.....As the title suggests.... need to replace CL rocker switch ( between seats) and fit new gear selector panel to gear knob.... any ideas if the switch comes out from above or below? or if I need to remove the gear knob to fit the gear selector panel to top of gear lever? any 'elp 'ppreciated....

What do you mean by 'gear selector panel' - the indicator on top of the shifter? It's stuck on IIRC so that should come off without removing everything.

The CL switch - hmmm, not sure. Thinking about how it's mounted and works, I'd say you'd need to remove the centre tunnel. But I'm not 100% about that. Just can't think how you'd get it out without doing that though, as there's not a lot of room around the switch itself?

just the indicator in silver is whats needed.... off to pick one up so will ask @ dealers how to fit switch... it does look like a trim out job to me tho! ta for help...

i had to change this - it fiddly.

open ashtray and pull up gear gaitor. The switch pushes down to release. If you have spade hands you will struggle as the pipes for rear heating and jumb box get in way

pull the cable to get switch to gear stick area and unplug.

the hardest bit is relocating. I found some VRS tourrets helped me. Took about 10 mins in total
