Bolero/Bluetooth/Nokia?

Featured Replies

I need small help to understand my Bolero.

Does an option BTAudio has anything to do with a PHONE button on Bolero ?

I do not manage to connect my Nokia with Bolero, either to listen a music or comunicate over Bolero device.

Kind Thanks,

Hi there. The BT Audio tick allows you to stream music from a bluetooth device AFTER you have paired it.

From another thread (regarding an iPhone though):

All I did was pair my iPhone to the car (took two tries, and then worked perfectly).

When I get in the car now, I switch the phone BT on first THEN start the car. Sometimes it sees it immediately, sometimes I have to use the MFD two or three times selecting the option to pair to the iPhone (it may be my impatience, it may happen in time if I leave it alone).

Then I select the iPod app on the iPhone, and select Media on the radio control. As soon as I press play on the iPhone handset the BT Audio button goes from grey to black and it will then play.

This may sound complex - it is not!

Step 1 - pair iPod / iPhone to car (once only)

Step 2 - link them when you get in or want to play

Step 3 - play media on iPhone and feed through the car.

Sound quality is at least as good as FM radio in my opinion.

So you need to start the music on your phone and only then will the BT Audio tick go from grey to be tickable.

The think that makes me confused is a fact that my Nokia E52 does not see any

Bluetooth device available to pair with (in my vehicle ofcourse),

and Yes a BT audio is enabled in Bolero Setup.

It is hard to belive that my phone has a fault since I pair it with my computer so simply,

so my thinkings are that I am missing "a thing" or just my BT on Bolero does not work.

Possibly a simpler question, do you have the Bluetooth preparation?

If not then you won't get this to work.

If you have then follow 900000's thread above.

zurzul I think you need to make sure you pair the phone correctly. Please see the attached PDF. It might help.

Hm...

I do own Yeti Elegance, but seems without a Bluetooth option

since I do not have an option in Main menu of Car Computer.

(Only MFD/Audio/Setup) : (

We had no problems pairing an E52 with the Yeti.

I went through this exercise with the Bolero. All the BT boxes ticked. Then my dealer told me I would need to spend an extra £300 for the :-

4-spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio and telephone with Bluetooth

As this activates the Bolero BT option.

Do you have this option on your Yeti?

I think you find it through the Maxidot menus.

do not have a Phone option in Maxidot menu I have checked all options : (

Seems to me that I am missing some upgrade bluetooth option ?

Just noticed at the bottom of the PDF Johann posted that mobiles on the 3 network wont work with the bluetooth on the Superb is this a different system to the Yeti as I am on 3 and my phone works ok on bluetooth.

The Superb has GSM111, the Yeti GSM 11. The more universal one being GSM 11 in the Yeti. It will work with many more phones than the GSM 111, but the GSM 111 has more functionality, but not many phones work with it.

Hope that makes sense.

I'm glad the Yeti has GSM 11, as my iPhone won't work properly with GSM 111 of the Superb.

Just came back from the Official Skoda Service.

They conclude that GSM modul is missing.

Should be there but it is not.

And also it is not upgradable. : (

They are familiar with this problem but can not help.

zurzur I feel for you... that is uber annoying! Grrr. Hope you get a fix somehow.

Fiscon do a BT car kit that integrates with the maxidot computer and lets you BT audio stream.....

Search the octavia 2 forum. It's been covered extensively there.
