when on bbc Iplayer and i select download it has the option for windows media player. when selected nothing happens, what am i doing wrong the option is there to select. i must be stupid please HELP.

Have you installed the desktop programme? When I click download I get this message (nothing installed):

Otherwise maybe try another browser?

Crap, ignore that - just continued to download and it started a WMV file transfer (thought it would download the iPlayer app). I'd suggest trying a different browser, see if that helps. That was done in Firefox 3.X
