Car PC goes in on Tuesday

Featured Replies

ok have built my self a little pc for my fabia Vrs got it all up and running in the house and custom skinned the media-engine front end im using on the 7" touch screen. On tuesday car is booked in to have all cableing done and focal components fitted in front and a 10" focal sub in boot running from a Audioson 4 channel amp. They are also doing stealth boot install for pc and amp in boot. Problem is i really want to intergrate touch screen in to dash and have read on forum that some one thinks there is a double din facia for the mk 4 golf that will fit the fabia but Guy at Sextons southampton who are doing the work says it wont fit. So any one got any ideas what i can do bearing in mind i dont want to permantly damage dash and to be able to put car back to standard if i ever sell it.

Will post pics of finished install if any ones intrested when its done.

I'll definitely be interested as I'm in the process of doing the same thing myself. I splashed out and went for an in-dash pull out screen which will hopefully be with me next week.

I have a double DIN housing that definitely fits the Octy dash (which I don't need now), but the Fabia's dash is different I think.
