For the last few months, my 2001 Octavia has developed an occasional whine from the power steering. It doesn't happen all the time, and only seems to occur when stationary (or very nearly) and turning the steering wheel to the left. I don't think it sounds like a slipping belt - it's more "smooth" sounding than the "jerky" sound of a belt. Any ideas?
