snow chains

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've heard great things from friends about this forum and hoped you might be able to help. I am taking my new Octavia Scout (2010) to the Alps skiing this winter and consequently, I'm in the process of to buying some snow chains. For the winter I have already switched over to winter tyres on steel rims - R16/205/55. As I understand it, even with winter tyres, there is a requirement to have snow chains in snow on the high resorts. My question to the forum is: Does anyone think there will be an issue with clearance when the snow chains are fitted? I've been looking at the klack and Go system, which seems to get good reviews (http://www.snowchains.co.uk/main/klack_and_go.htm).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

J
