A Bolero in a Seat ?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just thought I would ask this question.

I have a brabd new bolero doing nothing and was thinking of putting it into our family car (Seat Altea XL on a 57 plate)

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so is it straight forward or would there be a need for a CAN upgrade etc etc?

Thanks in advance.

anyone?

You are probably better asking that question on a SEAT forum, as although they are both VAG vehicles and i would imagine it would fit i think the SEAT owners will know better than we do on here.

Don't quote me on this, but afaik the Bolero from the Superb (which is basically the equivilent to the VW RCD510) should fit, but the one from the Octavia may not. If yours is the former it will have the fixing points protruding from the sides, if its like mine, you have to remove the head unit facia to access the fixing points.

On mine you have to remove the facia to access the fixing points.

I am planning a trip to the local seat dealer to see if I can get a fascia that will fit around the bolero as otherwise the fixings are in the same place to fit a RNS510 in the Seat.

So as my Columbus fitted into my Octavia with no problem I am assuming the bolero will fit straight in.

Just a case of getting a trim that will fit the seat and will also fit the bolero....?

Could always fit a RNS510 in the Seat but do not have the pennies at the moment. :'(

Might be interested in the Bolero, if you fancy selling. Drop me a PM if so.
