summer or winter tyres on a 4X4?

This video courtesy of Autocar will answer the question..

Im going to go out on a limb and say they could clearly see the benefits of winter tyres.... :giggle:

.... pretty much as you'd expect I guess but its nice to see a proper direct comparison ie same vehicle doing the same terrain in the same conditions.

Can't watch videos at work, but without watching it I would say WINTER. I've had no problems all week, but I know I would be happier to have that little extra security.

Yes Focus we all knew this anyway :giggle:

But like you say it is a good demonstration of a 4x4 SUV, not a million miles away from the Yeti, and running on wider tyres (245)

I'm dreading the drive into Sunderland at 5.30pm, to drop off my oldest girl at a friends birthday party. Feeling like a rally driver with my 2WD. Although pulling out of thick snow in 2nd is working, it's the miniroundabouts that are carching me out, some are sheer ice.

My Winter tyres (possibly) arriving Monday?
