Estate Hatch Trim Removal

Featured Replies

looks like the washer pipe has frozen/fallen off inside the tailgate of my 08 octavia estate. i'd fix it, but it's not obvious how the hatch interior trim comes off.

i tried a search, but couldn't find anything. to avoid damage, perhaps someone could point me in the right direction?

TIA

Unscrew the Tor-X screw that holds on the pull-down strap, then it all just clips off. Start at the bottom, near the latch, & pull gently but firmly.

PITA to get back on though....you have been warned!! :giggle:

i did find that screw, but it didn't seem to be the key to removal. i'll have another go and try harder tomorrow.

i'll let you know how i get on with re-fitting :)
