Does the mk1 Fabia vRS have metallic paint?

I've resprayed a section of the car with paint mixed at halfords (using the paint code printed in the car) and its looking really good apart from the fact that its not as shiney as the rest of the bodywork.

Am I missing something somewhere?

Halfords normally supply 2 tubes of paint - one is the basecoat colour and the other is the clear topcoat. You put a dab of colour in the chip then fill the rest proud with clearcoat which you can then wet-sand (1500 grit->2500grit) down to the level of the original paint and then polish it so it matches.

The clue's in the name - "Silver" - silver generally means metallic grey. Blue is metallic. Black is essentially metallic though it's called pearlescent. Red and both Yellows are flat colours.
