Re-filling Haldex Clutch

Featured Replies

Big problem here; clutch drained and filter renewed, but finding it impossible to re-fill. What gets squirted in re-fill point exits at similar point opposite which I thought might be to tell me when full. Ideas anyone?

The oil gets injected back in through the drain hole. The oil comes in a tube with the right ammount in it, you just fit the oil tube into a mastic gun and fire it up into the coupling. Then quickly pull the gun out and whack the plug in.

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe I'm trying to fill the damn thing through the wrong hole; something immediately inside the casing stopping me putting the nozzle right in. Will try other fill point.

Back on the road; many thanks Tech1e. When all else fails, do what you should have done in the first place.

Glad I could help :)

is this for the mk1 octy's haldex?

I'm planning to swap oil on my mk2 octy, Is it as simple as it looks - drain oil from lower plug, then refill from top plug?

This is the MK1 yes.

MK2 is as simple as that yes.
