Hi Johann,

think this thread sort of suggested that a VW skinny spacesaver had replaced the original 16" 195/60 space saving wheel; believe this not to be the case. If so, then yes time it should go.

Would suggest contacting mannyo and putting forward the case for it's unsticking.

Regards,

TP

Never understood why it was a sticky in the first place as the spare has always been restricted to 50mph. The fact it is in capitals should seal its fate - I don't like being shouted at! Well done for starting this poll.

The most recent post seems to confirm that the original post had no substance and in fact nothing has changed since we bought our Yeti over a year ago. So can it finally be unpinned please?

I've yet to see a proper 'space-saver' in the true sense of the term. All seem to be the 16" steel which we all know about, hence I think someone got the wrong impression in starting this thread.

I agree this realistically no longer needs to be a 'sticky'

I have now forwarded this thread to the powers that be... Time will tell if this gets unstuck. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I agree, have voted, and this will bump to top again - I think it is positively misleading to anyone just coming on board, without the benefit of all the discussion.

The M-B SLK I traded for may Yeti had a spacesaver tyre. It was deflated on a special rim.

I've voted for removing the sticky.

And it is now gone... emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I was about to offer that we could use my Yeti as a 'benchmark'.

I ordered it at the end of June with the 'space saver' option ticked for which I'm expecting the 16" steelie with 205/60 tyre (?) but not a 'skinny space saver'. It was built 7th December and is due in UK any day soon.

I'll post up the details of what I get.

PS> I've voted to remove the sticky; a bit irrelevant now I know, but what the hell, its a vote.
