Bluetooth phone book

Featured Replies

I've not had enough time to play with my BT kit in Elsie yet, and was wondering the following:

In my Octavia I retro fitted the skoda BT car kit and had to record names if I wanted to voice activate dialling - record "Mike Mobile".

My question is this: I can not find anything in the manual about saving numbers, so will it recognise names that are in my iPhone phone book which is transferred across to the Yeti phone book. Do I have to record names, or do I just press the button and say "call fred smith" and then when prompted "work"?

Mike

There is information in the Bolero handbook.

Ah thats where my problem lies. I have a Columbus.

I had a play with it today and couldn't get the voice activation working. I tried the automatic language and it now works, so I can operate my Columbus using my voice. Cool.

Then I played with the phone and managed to sort it out. basically I don't have to program this system. I press the button, say dial name, it then asks me for a name, I then say the name - seems to want surnames, then select one from a list 1-5. Then I am given an option - work, home mobile and select number for that option i.e. 2 Then it dials.

So I have answered my own question.

I tried talking to this woman the other day and she just phoned some random person in my phone book - albeit also one that has a name with Chris in it! emoticon-0140-rofl.gif I think this one item in my car I will seldom use unless someone can show me otherwise.
