Skoda Yeti lead times?

Featured Replies

Hi there

I've been reading around on this forum for a little while now. It's been very useful but I have a question regarding current lead times from order to delivery. Sorry if I missed this being discussed elsewhere on the forum!!

So, what is the estimated lead time for a new Yeti? Does it differ depending what model/options you spec??

I'm either looking at a 1.2 TSI DSG or a 2.0 140 DSG, probably in SE spec (but maybe Elegance....). Options wise I'm thinking Heated Windscreen/Seats but not too much else.

Not relevant to the question, but I've been lucky enough to be able to arrange extended 'test drives' through my employer. I had a 1.2 TSI DSG S last week and I've just had a 2.0 140 Manual Elegance delivered today. I can't wait for the drive home!

Thanks to anyone who can help or point me in the right direction!

Hi and welcome,

ordered a 110 4x4 Elegance with a small number of options first week November; currently provisional build beginning February. However the DSG option is in much demand across the VAG empire, therefore you could be waiting a while emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif but well worth the wait emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Hi

Yeti 1.2 TSI DSG SE with spare wheel, heated windscreen, lumbar support. Ordered 2nd week of September delivered 2nd week of December. (From James Rothwell at Allams) Delivery should improve with increased production in New Year.

There's a 1.2 in the For Sale section here.

1.2 s ordered 1st april delivered 18th july....a long but worthwhile wait

I have a 140DSG and it is worth the 5 month wait. It is awesome. I put up with driving a 1.4 polo for 5 months whilst waiting, and the Snow Monster is amazing. The DSG is sooooooo much better than the DSG I had in my previous '06 Octavia. It changes down when going down hills, just like my 530d auto did.

Thanks everyone

That doesn't sound too bad. I was preparing myself for the worst as I haven't seen many around at all (in fact, I've only seen one!!!) but I would expect there to be a reasonable level of demand given all the reviews etc!

I think I waited around 6 months for my Type-R. I can handle the wait....just!

I'll be sticking around so I'll let you know what I end up speccing.... :)

Ok. After one drive home in an 'elegance' version, I'm sold! It really felt so much more special than the 'S'. The 'S' was just fine, don't get me wrong, but I think it's Elegance for me. I think it still represents good value for money.

I think I will be ordering 2.0 140 4x4 DSG Elegance. I'll let you know the lead time when I've managed to finalise everything with the dealer.

Very exciting!!!!!

Ordered a Skoda Yeti 170bhp 2.0D CR DPF 4x4 Elegance 18 week delivery Mid March. :D

170 CR Elegance* - ordered 9 August - provisional build week 8 2011 - that'll be 30+ weeks to delivery......

* Muscovado, RRP, Heated screen, TPM, 12 speaker, Annapurnas, Towbar prep, Electric seats, grey beard from waiting

Spoke to my local main dealer yesterday regarding a possible trade in / buy back on my Yeti. They told me a new diesel 4x4 currently had a lead time of at least 30 weeks!!

That was my choice, with sun roof. Ordered on May 6th, and am told by the dealership that they "think" it was built last week. If it arrives at the end of December that'll be 34 weeks. Is that the record?

'm semi-hoping that we'll some more snow before the winter is out - except that winter tyres seem to be at quite a premium at the moment....

Have you decided what spec Yeti you'd like?

I'll happily take in a Civic Type-R as a part exchange.... ahem... ;)

That is the spec I have gone for - 140 4x4 DSG Elegance - I ordered mine mid August and have a build week 1 (2011).

If that works out, it would be c. 24 week leadtime from order to delivery. I'm not counting any chickens though given others' experiences - it could easily be 30 weeks+ (but at least that would give me an '11 plate!)

It seems that the diesels are in shortest supply.
