Featured Replies

I am currently having some problems with my octavia 2 estate ,, 2.0tdi 2006 model ,, was driving down the road engine began to misfire then cut out has been running fine up to this point ,,, towed the car home changed the fuel filter ,, tried to start nothing just turning over !!!!!!!!!!,,,, i then began to investigate further and noticed the fuel pump in the fuel tank was making no noise whatsoever ,, so i removed this checked the motor by putting power across works fine ,, so must be a power problem from the ignition side of things ??????????,,,, having put the pump back into the tank reconnected all the fuel lines etc i put power across the pump to prime the system back up to no avail , anyway put it all back together got my mate to tow me into my independant,,, thought i would have a go at bump starting it whilst being towed it fired and run fine ,, so upon disconnecting the towrope i drove it for bout half a mile then it dies again,, engine management light on no speedo brake warning light flashing the usual christmas tree senario ,,, any suggestions would be most appreciated ,,, fuse ,, ?? relay ,, any advise suggestions thanks for taking the time to read . I am loosing faith in my octavia ,, the steering rack electro mechanical went in august with a £1200 bill to sort it seems to be never ending ,, thanks again
